O’CONNELL CALVIN MOTORSPORTS ANNOUNCES  “MATCHING FUNDS” MARKETING INCENTIVES PROGRAM  FOR 2006 SEASON

NEWPORT Beach, California -- O’Connell Calvin Motorsports, a leading motorsports team based in southern California and competing in the Grand American road racing series in North America announced its 2006 “matching funds” incentive program initiated for consumer product and service companies interested in motorsports related marketing.

The team has committed to matching qualified team sponsors with up to $500,000 USD for the 2006 racing season. Kevin O’Connell, founder and CEO of the team stated, “we developed this platform for companies that want to increase brand awareness within the broad racing demographic and for businesses with stated regional or national ambition. We anticipate that the ideal marketing partner would have a marketing budget less than a national NASCAR touring series but far greater than some of the regional touring series that do not deliver adequate media coverage. Grand American, with the success of the DP and GT competition is the clear leader in this area.”

Additionally, the team will retain Jeff Arnett of Arnett Designs as its primary graphic design company. Arnett will manage branding and creative marketing for the team’s sponsors. Jeff Arnett, President of Arnett Designs stated, “we are excited to work with the team and its partners in providing services such as graphic design, web design, printing and interactive media solutions.”

For the 2006 season, the team will campaign a Porsche GT 3 and will migrate all of its crew and equipment from its multi year operation in Nascar to the Grand American series.

The team is excited to introduce its current marketing partners to Grand Am GT road racing: General Environmental Management, Inc., Taleo Grill “The Spirit of Mexico”, Mothers Polishes-Waxes-Cleaners, Inc., Dragon Optical, Crow Enterprises, HPC West MicroFiberStuff.com, Neo Synthetics, Sparco USA, Streamline Designs and BASF.

David Rifkin, team President commented, “the additional gain of media coverage from Grand Am’s successes is a key component for our marketing partners.”
