PODIUM FINISH FOR DODD AT SUPER TRUCK SEASON FINALE

MIRA LOMA, Ca — Scott Dodd in the #6 King Taco Super Truck had to pass a lot of trucks for his third place finish in the Super Truck 100 lap season finale. Dodd was 5th fast during practice, but the adjustments made for qualifying had the truck coming off the corners sideways. Leaving Dodd 14th fast out of the 28 truck field. Dodd wasn’t too worried; he knew he had a set up on the truck that would last the full 100 laps.

On the start Dodd was able to pick off a few trucks and then settled in running a good smart line while picking off a few more before reaching the halfway mark well within the top ten. The first half of the race went pretty smooth and caution free. Dodd was handling very well through the corners and he was running faster laps than the leaders so he was able to continue reeling them and passing trucks lap after lap. With about 20 laps to go Dodd started his move and was still running laps faster than the leader. Dodd was able to move to the third position and had caught the second place truck with about 8 laps to go. Dodd just wasn’t able to make a move on the second place truck with a few laps to go so he took the checkered flag in the 3rd position.

This was Dodd’s 3rd start in this truck, his two previous races he was running in the top five when a competitor struck his truck and took him out of the race. Dodd was glad that the truck owner Louis Mammolito was at the race to be a part of and support this great performance of the Lucas Oil Dodge Super Truck team.
