NASCAR Whelen All-American Western Late Models fans will not want to miss this show as the Late Models will run two separate 50 lap races on the "Fastest Half-Mile in the West". Sandwiched in between the two Western Late Model events will be races from the American Limited Stock Cars, Grand American Modifieds and NCMA Sprints. The Formula-4's and Pro-Trucks will start the show and the Formula-4's and Enduros will end it. With a rain out at Altamont Motorsports Park last weekend Tracy's Ryan Philpott and his #52 "Red Rocket" should have had time to recover from damage suffered at Altamont's 100 lap Western Late Model event on September 15th. Philpott has locked up the track championship at Altamont this season and is currently ranked seventh in the state-wide points standings. In Grand American Modified action Todd Lynch will be looking to make it three-in-a-row after winning September 15th's Grand American Modified shoot out as well as the race which started his winning streak on August 25th. A win by Lynch will also tie him with Tony Noceti's record of four total wins this season. In the American Limited Stock Car division Stockton's Chad Holman will be looking for his seventh victory this season. Holman, last year's ALSC champ at Stockton 99, has dominated the second half of the ALSC season, winning six of the last eight events at Altamont Motorsports Park. The Pro-Trucks will look to battle it out once again on the 1/4-mile as Ron Robeck will try to add to his four overall wins this season. Two ten lap Formula-4 races on the road course will also entertain the fans on Saturday night. The Formula-4 winners circle has seen a diverse set of names in the past few weeks including: Dan Durbin, Rodney Lopez, Debbie Foreman, Bob Wilson, Leo Solari and Richard Hull. NCMA Sprint driver Jimmy Lavell will look to make it four wins at Altamont Motorsports Park this year. Lavell has dominated the series at Altamont this season, winning all three NCMA events. Saturday night's show will close out with 75 laps of Enduro racing. Qualifying starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday with opening ceremonies scheduled for 4p.m. Ticket pricing is $12 General Admission , $9 for Seniors and $7 for youth. Altamont Motorsports Park is located between Livermore and Tracy, Calif., within an hour's drive from most points in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as the Central Valley.
