RE: High School Racing Series Teams Awarded Race Cars for 2008 Race Season

Due to dense fog throughout the southern valley, today’s activities scheduled at 3:30pm at Motor City Auto Center have been CANCELLED.

Twenty General Motors vehicles were planned to be awarded to the twenty area high schools that plan to compete in the upcoming high school racing competition at the new raceway currently under construction west of Bakersfield.

High school representatives and students were scheduled to be on hand to take part in today’s activities, but due to the hazardous driving conditions in some areas, today’s event will be re-scheduled.
