M4SX / DIRT ALLIANCE SIDE X SIDE NATIONALS ROUND 1

The M4SX / Dirt Alliance Side X Side Nationals got underway on Feb.16 at the all new Kal-Gard Motorsports Complex in the heart and home of UTV / Trophy Kart racing, Lake Elsinore MX Park. The skies opened up and the all new track brought a record amount of both competitor entries and spectators. “We wanted to up the level of both UTV and Trophy Kart racing with the new series. At the end of last year we listened to our competitors and realized we needed to have a specific track for our racers. From the look and sound of the racing, we really accomplished our goal to have THE premiere UTV / Trophy Kart track ” stated Ken Johnson.

A total of just over 40 Trophy karts took to the track with 8-12 year old winner Sheldon Creed and 13-16 year old winner Connor Hart leading the way in each class. The Side x Side doubles class saw Factory Polaris backed Travis Petersen cross the line at the point with 14 year old Doug Mittag leading the way in the Mod Amateur class. In the Superstock class the racing was tight with 2007 defending Superstock champion Regis Harrington crossing the line first. In the premiere Pro Modified class HRT’s Todd Arthur lead from start to finish and put the “Flyin Banana” into victory circle.

M4SX / Dirt Alliance are proud to announce the start of the new Super-Kart Challenge, which will begin at the next event on March 8th, 2008. We hope this series will draw in some new racers who are looking to break into the sport, and compete with the best of their peers without having to break the bank. This will be the first true short-course series for racing these types of karts, and it should generate a lot of interest from fans and sponsors alike.

**Please note as of round 4 it will be mandatory for all SXS and Trophy Kart Driver to have two-way Radios**
