H-TOWN RACING TO BEGIN SEASON SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE BULLRING

It was a very busy off season for the team. After not competing at the level expected, H-Town Racing decided it was time to go back to the drawing board. First building a new Super Late Model for driver Jim Petrie. Starting with a new Howe chassis the team started from the ground up, working day and night to prepare the car. Driver Jim Petrie said, “The crew at H-Town Racing did a wonderful job. They have really given this project all they had. I am really looking forward to finally getting this car out there.”

They didn’t stop there. After the completion of the Super Late model it was on to the NASCAR Modified for driver Pat Petrie. Pat had a very solid performance at the Fall Classic, qualifying twelfth, before a crash on lap 18 ended his night early. The team decided instead of rebuilding a car that needed a tremendous amount of work, to build a new one. Starting with an older chassis, the crew cut and chopped and morphed it into a new chassis designed by crew chief Joe Petrie.

At the same time H-Town driver Ben Morris was completing the assembly of his new Chuck Wahl modified, driver Jeff Bargerhuff was preparing for his jump to the Late Model division, and driver John Wright was revamping his Charger Division Camaro.

With the season opener in just a couple of days the team is working around the clock to finish everything. “We still have to complete the Charger car and the Chuck Wahl modified, and the crew is working non-stop to get these cars to the track Saturday,” said crew chief Joe Petrie.

H-Town Racing would like to thank American Racing Supply for all of the support during the off-season. “When we needed something they had it or got it for us right away. They were instrumental in us being able to get all of this done,” said Jim Petrie.
