JIM WARN EXCITED ABOUT MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK NASCAR CAMPING WORLD WEST SERIES EVENT

AURORA, Oregon -- For Jim Warn, driver of the MJ2 Racing Chevrolet on the NASCAR Camping World Series, road racing held a natural attraction for the second generation driver. Warn grew up watching his father, MJ2 Racing team owner Mike Warn; compete in spec race cars at Portland (OR) Int'l Raceway. It wasn't long before the younger Warn was racing and winning championships of his own.

This season, Warn has embarked on his most ambitious season yet behind the wheel, competing on the NASCAR Camping World Series. Adapting to the heavier 3300 pound machines has been easier than he expected. "These cars can be a handful to drive but I have really enjoyed every race this year," Warn stated. I think the key is just being comfortable and having confidence." Really think we will use the same strategy at this race even though it is a completely different track."

Track position is a key factor in road course racing success along with when you make a pit stop. "I really think all we can do is run our own race and hopefully be in position at the end," Warn said.

MMP is one track that Warn will see for the first time when he pulls through the gate this weekend, but he is confident that the team is prepared and ready for the challenge. "We did not get a chance to test at Miller but I think with the two hours of practice we will have I can get a handle on the place." Warn said. "It is going to be fun no matter what. If we can qualify towards the front and finish in the top ten it will be a great weekend for our team."

"Even though the season is winding down, we have a lot of racing left to do," Warn said. "If we can close out the year with top ten finishes then our rookie campaign will have been a success. This is a great series with really great drivers. Each of the tracks we compete at has its own challenges and I am really looking forward to competing at Miller this weekend."

Warn drives a team car to Jeff Jefferson and is sponsored by MJ2 Racing, Gran Prix Imports, and Leupold Optic. The car is powered by a Chevrolet NASCAR Spec Engine and sits atop a Hopkins chassis. Warn is in his rookie campaign on the NCWS and has nine career starts with three top ten finishes this season. Warn currently sits second in the Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year standings and 10th in the overall driver standings after nine races.

The NASCAR Camping World Series "125" at Miller Motorsports Park is round ten of the 13-race NASCAR Camping World Series-West schedule for 2008. The series visits the unique 3.06-mile facility for the second straight year. 2008 is the 55th year of competition for the NASCAR Camping World Series-West.
