COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR WOO AT SKAGIT SPEEDWAY

ALGER, Wa — It is the final days before the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws N C Machinery / Caterpillar Clash and already teams are arriving in Skagit County for the races this Friday and Saturday night at Skagit Speedway. Numerous hauler sightings have the local fans hammering the message boards and burning up the phone lines telling their fellow race fans where to see their racing heroes.

Coming off two great nights of record crowds and amazing Outlaw 410 Sprint Car racing at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta the World of Outlaw teams have trekked west to the scenic Pacific Northwest for the next round of the Gold Rush Tour.

Skagit Speedway’s famed 3/10th mile high-banked clay oval is ready to host a good sized field of Outlaw 410 Sprint Cars made up of WoO regulars, Skagit Outlaw 410 regulars and a healthy plate of traveling West Coast teams. Local stars like point leaders Barry Martinez, Colton Heath and Travis Rutz have captured some spectacular wins this season and will lead one of the largest local Outlaw 410 contingents into the weekend races. The World of Outlaws consistently is drawing 20 Outlaw regulars at most events. California drivers Jonathon Allard the newly crowned “King of California” and Tyler Walker is expected to appear.

Competing in his second full season on the World of Outlaws circuit, Chad Hillier of Burlington, WA is ready for his only trip home this season. Hillier is the only driver at Skagit Speedway to earn championships in all 3 Sprint Car divisions.

Tickets are available at the door on the day of the race. With ticket windows opening early in the afternoon both days at the Alger, WA track.
