VICTORY CIRCLE “TEST N TUNE

Under beautiful clear skies and temperatures in the 90’s competitors began showing up at the pit gate around two o’clock for the 3 to sundown Test N Tune. Drivers signed up to take to the oval that had been silent since July 5th. Last years Legend’s Champion, Suave Brachowski made quite a few laps in his new #29 Late Model along with Cassie Gannis in her #7, Blue Media Late Model. Jerry Thitchener tried numerous set ups on his #96 Late Model trying for that elusive 1/10 of a second. I saw Duane Hunt Jr. shaking down dad’s #17 Late Model and no less than four Bombers attended with two running laps at TRP for the first time. Young Carlton Peterson ran quite a few laps in his Legend Car and the Milburg boys ran long distance runs in their Bomber Lites preparing for the October 25th Enduro.

When the sun went down it was now time for business. A great pot luck dinner was held in TRP tech with everything from Nancy Smith’s Southwestern Chili to Ray Johnson’s Ass Kickin, Ragin Cajun Chicken. Once everyone had filled their plates, we got down to the Victory Circle plan introduction. A PowerPoint presentation was projected up on the pit board for all to see with yours truly reviewing page by page the plan details. Every registered driver received a Victory Circle plan packet and 25 Victory Circle Plan brochures to use during their sales calls. A few notable questions arose and we tried our best to respond. Once question was “What happens if we have an event cancel due to weather or such”? Answer: The Victory Circle Plan consists of 14 events held over nine months and dates will always be rescheduled to meet that minimum. There were some that thought they should get their vested amount regardless of their ability to race. The bottom line is simply this: The Victory Circle program is the very first of it’s kind in the world of Motorsports and to say it is foolproof would be foolish. During the course of the plan, issues will come up from time to time and after gathering all of the facts, solutions will be created to make the plan work without missing a beat! Over the next few weeks we will gather the needed facts to make intelligent decisions on the implementation of the Victory Circle Points Fund programs so that all of our members will know how the proceeds will be distributed at season’s end.

The most important task at hand right now is to get out and sell! We have had three weeks to develop prospects while awaiting the brochures and final plan details and now it’s time to get off the couch! As stated earlier, we need 50% of you 50% vested before committing to our first Victory Circle Event!

That amounts to only 5 Late models, 3 Factory stocks, 2 Sport Compacts, 1 Modified, 2 bombers, 2 Bomber Lites and 2 Legends selling half of there available opportunities.

At this time we have missed the September 27th Event opportunity and that brings us to October 11th as the next available date. As it stands now we have our Bomber Enduro scheduled for October 25th and our PIR Stars 100 Lap open comp event scheduled for November 5th and 6th both of which are special events and not part of our weekly series. Those of you that feel uneasy about the sales process please contact me at trptucson@aol.com to help get you on your way to Victory Circle!

Victory is only a Sale away!

Victory Circle Awards Program Outline
    Concept:
  • Develop and implement a plan to create and sustain income to keep weekly series racing at Tucson Raceway Park.
  • Plan is based on registered plan members marketing their Raceway benefits by selling TRP Souvenir Program ad’s, Season Ticket Fun Packs and Billboard opportunities.
  • In return for selling the available packages the Victory Circle Team members receive 50% of all collected income in the form of Bonus program dollars distributed at each program event.
  • This multifaceted plan allows members to reach out to the public and tell and sell the benefits of their Home Track and therefore develop new fans whom then develop a true sense of ownership in their Home Track.
  • The sales item prices are based well under the going market rates allowing the inexperienced plan member a much better chance of Sales Success.
  • As this racing program grows at the Park with increased car counts and fans the plan allows for graduated increases based on percentages gained.
  • This is truly a performance based plan with everyone having the same opportunity to WIN!
      Plan Details:
  • Plan members must be a registered driver in good standing to participate in the plan.
  • Each participant is required to sell at least 50% of the total plan package in dollar value ($1988.00) in order to be vested and receive plan benefits. Unvested amounts roll directly into the Victory Circle Points Fund.
  • After meeting the minimum 50% level the vested member will then receive their vested percentage at the completion of every Victory Circle event of which they have completed at least one (1) lap of the Feature event.
  • A vested members event benefits will roll into the Victory Circle Points Fund if the member fails to participate in any event.
  • The amount of plan vesting has no maximum limits! (example) A plan member may become 200% vested by selling 200% of the base ($7952.00) and that member would therefore collect the base benefits x 200% ($284.00) at each event. Skies the Limit!
  • At each and every Victory Circle Plan event the baseline purse for each division will grow 5% compounded per position for every vested plan participant above the baseline in that division with a maximum of 26 positions in each division.
  • The baseline purse was created by using our current mean average entrant count and our existing 2008 purse structure (see baseline purse). More Vested entrants = more Dollars!
  • Fan count: Another factor that plan members benefit from is based on a baseline attendance figure of 500 Full value paid GA/JR/SR/MIL admissions. For every paid admission over the base, 50% of the cash value will go directly into the Victory Circle Plan Points Fund to be distributed at the season ending Victory Circle Awards Banquet. Tell and Friend! Fill the Grandstands!
  • Tickets: All vested Victory Circle Plan members may purchase Victory Circle Event tickets at 50% off in multiple packs of twenty (20) to sell to potential New Fans to generate another revenue stream for their personal Racing plan. We only ask that you Please work Smart and sell these Victory Circle tickets at Face value at all times!
Each plan member is responsible for Selling:
  • One (1) Souvenir program page for $504.00 which can be completed by selling multiples of the available size ad’s to fill one (1) page.
  • Two (2) billboard packages for $560.00 ea. For a total value of $1120.00 which can be completed by selling multiples of the available sizes to effectively sell 320 sq.ft.
  • Six (6) Victory Circle Season Fun Packs at $392.00 per pack (see options) for a total of $2352.00.
  • The total Victory Circle Plan package is $3976.00 which nets each member $142.00 per event in Bonus awards.####
