MADERA TO HOST HUGE 4TH OF JULY RACE AND FIREWORKS HOTWOOD 750 SERIES  It was announced yesterday that Kody Swanson, 19, of Kingsburg, California, would be racing a late model in the HotWood 750 Series twin 75-lap features for the Western Late Models at Madera Speedway this Friday July 4th.

SRL SW TOUR CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY FLASHCO SRL SOUTHWEST TOUR SERIES  The Flashco SRL Southwest Tour Series is back at the half-mile oval in Tracy at Altamont Motorsports Park for round two of the Tri Holiday Series. A full field of more than twenty Flashco SRL drivers are expected, including the return of 2001 SRL champion Nathan Tucker out of Sonora, CA in the #41 Mid-Valley Iron and Metals Chevrolet as well as SRL veteran David Mantooth of Cotati, CA in his Hot Rods by Lew.com #5 Chevrolet.

RAUDMAN ALL ABOUT ALTAMONT FLASHCO SRL SOUTHWEST TOUR SERIES  Craig Raudman of Redding, Calif., enters Saturday's Flashco SRL Southwest Tour Series race at Altamont Raceway Park eyeing his first victory of the season. The former Southwest tour champion currently sits second in the point standings after three races heading into the 100-lap event that is part of the Tri-Holiday classic at the half-mile paved oval.

JEFFERSON KNOWS TOYOTA SPEEDWAY IS PLACE NASCAR WEST  Jeff Jefferson, driver of the MJ2 Racing Chevrolet, is finding the 2008 season on the NASCAR Camping World Series a bigger challenge then he ever imagined. Even though he is currently ninth in the overall point standings, his finishes this season are not what the three-time NASCAR champion had envisioned.

HOLMES LOOKS TO CONTINUE THE WINNING BMR TRADITION NASCAR WEST SERIES  The Bill McAnally Racing/NAPA AUTO PARTS team knows how to get it done at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. The NAPA team has won eight of the last eleven NASCAR Camping World Series West races held at the speedway since 2001. Eric Holmes, pilot of the No. 20 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry looks to add his name to the list which includes NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Brendan Gaughan, West Series crew chief Steve Portenga, East Series driver Brian Ickler and his teammate Austin Cameron.

SMITH ANXIOUS TO GIVE TOYOTA WIN AT IRWINDALE TOYOTA SPEEDWAY  With good momentum heading to Irwindale Speedway in 2007, Moses Smith and the HASA Pool Products/White Flyer team’s race was hampered by mid-race incident as they were closing in on the front of the field at the team’s July 4th visit to Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. Qualifying for the race on the inside of row five, the Bill McAnally Racing’s driver was quick to gain positions to seventh as the lap count read ten on the score board. Smith ran strong for the first sixty laps.
