Williams Racing is proud to unveil a groundbreaking new partnership with Zoox, an autonomous ride-hailing company and independent subsidiary of Amazon. This pioneering collaboration marks the first-ever partnership between an autonomous vehicle company and a Formula 1 team, uniting two industry leaders at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.
Zoox is revolutionizing personal transportation with its purpose-built robotaxi, which is designed to deliver an unparalleled rider experience through state-of-the-art technology. As part of a multi-year agreement, Zoox will become an Official Regional Partner of Williams Racing, aligning both organizations’ commitment to technological innovation.
Zoox’s Presence in Formula 1
Starting with the Las Vegas Grand Prix later this month, Zoox’s logo will be prominently featured on the Williams FW46 car driven by Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto. This marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in F1, where the worlds of autonomous vehicle development and high-speed motorsport collide.
Fans attending the race can experience Zoox’s autonomous technology firsthand. The Zoox robotaxi will be displayed at Williams Racing’s Fan Zone at the New York-New York hotel throughout race week, providing a glimpse into the future of autonomous travel.
Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, Zoox will activate its presence in the United States Grand Prix cities of Las Vegas, Austin, and Miami, where its autonomous technology is currently undergoing rigorous testing. As a further milestone for the company, Zoox will begin welcoming its first public riders in its innovative robotaxi in Las Vegas in 2025.
